Kumu Mahealanai Kuamo'o Henry

Aloha, my beautiful sister,

Whenever women walked into one of Aunty Mahealani’s classes, the first thing they met was her Banner: Welcome to Your Greatness.

Before any teaching began, she let each person there know what was already true about them.

This was the heart of Aunty’s teachings of Aloha Lōkahi. It was the foundation of everything she taught - that we don’t need to find ourselves or become someone new. We only need to remember the Greatness that has always been within us.

And with what I am sharing in this podcast coming from Aunty’s teachings, it now has the name: Remembering Your Greatness: As the Wise Woman You Are.

I also want to share a little with you of what brought me here to this.

Since July 2025, I have been walking through a deeply personal time of several painful losses, along with an unexpected upheaval in my life from an on-site accident. The accident was mishandled from the start, and it took nearly ten months to be resolved. I am still recovering from it, physically and financially. Through it, I had the opportunity to experience what it is like, as a woman, to not be heard by anyone while trying to get the support I needed for my recovery. It was a wake-up call to what women are still having to deal with out in the world around us.

What got me through it all was turning to these ancestral teachings of Aloha Lōkahi that led me to a deeper understanding and relationship with them.

And when I started creating the podcast series in June, this all began surfacing in the middle of it - the podcast was actually the catalyst. As I was creating the episodes, I found myself moving into an even more intimate and deep understanding of these teachings and ancestral wisdom. They became even more alive to me than they had been before - it was like a whole new world was opening for me - with Aunty giving me more and more “downloads” every day - and also giving me the title of Kumu - as one of the keepers of this ancestral wisdom.

And that took me on my own journey - in what that now meant with the kuleana (responsibility) I am now carrying.

It literally has been amazing and intense - a creative process that literally took over my life and in finally bringing all the pieces together with what is now The Heart of Aloha Path and its 3 Sacred Keys of Living Aloha.

This is also why I have not been very visible for the last several months, immersed in all of this. And now it is time to bring it out and for me to come back out.

This is a path of remembrance: in remembering the Inherent Greatness and Inner Brilliance we each came into this life with, alongside the wisdom we have acquired through all we have lived as the Wise Woman we are now.

And it is not about beginning again as though everything you have lived counts for nothing. It it about honoring what is already here within you —and allowing that to guide you into the life you now choose.

So I am now back completing this 7-episode podcast series, with the new versions of the first three episodes up and live. Today, I’m sharing Episode 3, Your Mana Iho: A Wise Woman’s Awakening, where we explore this remembering more deeply, and you are welcome to revisit and listen to the revised versions of Episodes 1 and 2.

And this is just the beginning - with other things I am also offering and creating - the self-paced Heart of Aloha Path: A Wise Woman’s Sacred Journey Home online course; the Women’s Circles I am beginning again; and the Heart of Aloha ʻOhana, a monthly membership group I am developing for ongoing teachings, practices, connection, and special gatherings that will be starting in the next several weeks.

The first circle, A Wise Woman’s Samhain Circle, is coming up:

In person in Spartanburg: Sunday, November 1, 2pm: Link

Online: Monday, November 2, 6:30pm: Link

I’ll share more as each takes shape. For today, I simply wanted to let you know where I am and welcome you into what is unfolding.

Mahalo for being here, whether you have walked with me for years or are just joining me now.

Welcome to your greatness.

With aloha,Kaleo
