We need to pause.  We need to step out of the noise, the separation, the pressure of ordinary life — and enter sacred space.

Join Kumu Kaleo Wheeler for a Full Moon Sacred Healing Ceremony — an evening to release what is complete, call in what is ready to rise, and remember the sacred connection that holds us all.

This Full Moon

The Harvest Moon asks you to count your blessings and acknowledge what you have cultivated over the year.  It highlights the tension between your personal desires and your commitments to others in  where you may be over-compromising or neglecting your own boundaries versus where you need to step up.

Following closely after the autumnal equinox, time time to gather the fruits of the intentions you set earlier in the year.   The time of exact balanace of light and dark, it symbolizes:

  • the need for harmony within ourselves. It is a time to reconcile the active, outer self with the quiet, intuitive inner self.

  •  the beauty of non-attachment. It invites you to release outdated patterns, worn-out energies, and heavy burdens without grief, trusting the natural cycle of renewa

  • Entering the Great Void: This threshold marks the beginning of the darker half of the year. Spiritually, this darkness is not something to fear; it is the fertile ground of winter where new wisdom rests and deep, restorative dreaming takes place.

You don't need to hold any particular belief about the moon. We'll simply use this time as a sacred threshold — a moment to listen, release, and remember what matters.

This Is Ceremony

This is not a workshop. Not a discussion group. Not a class.

It is an ancient ceremonial form, held through the lineage and traditions that have shaped Kaleo's path for over 35 years — as a ceremonialist, Voice Medicine guide, and keeper of an ancient Hawaiian spiritual lineage.

Together, we will move from the separateness of ordinary life into the oneness of ceremony — creating sacred space through honoring the directions, and entering the heart of the evening through the Healing Way chant.

(This is a different ceremony from Kaleo's Divine Feminine Full Moon Ceremony, which centers a separate, ancient chant that can only be held after full darkness. This gathering offers a different chant — one that can be received at any time, day or night.)

You do not need to know how to sing. You do not need to understand every word. You only need to arrive as you are.

What We'll Do Together

  • Hear the seasonal meaning of this full moon and sit with its reflection

  • Write three private reflections: what you're releasing, what you're calling in, and your hope for the world

  • Enter sacred space as Kaleo opens ceremony and calls the directions

  • Lay what you've written at the altar, in silence

  • Learn the Healing Way chant together, and chant it as one voice

  • Rest afterward in silence, letting the frequency settle in your body

  • Close ceremony with gratitude

If you're joining online: You'll gather your own small altar at home, and your space becomes part of our one sacred circle for the evening. To keep the sound clear for everyone, participants will be muted during the chant itself — but we are still chanting together, in ceremony, calling in this frequency of healing as one.

If you're joining in person: you'll sit together with the other women around a shared altar here in Spartanburg — indoors, or outdoors if the evening allows.

The Healing Way Chant

At the heart of the ceremony is the Healing Way chant — an ancient chant said to reach back to antiquity, its original translation lost to time. What remains is its frequency: passed down through generations for the deep healing it carries to whoever chants it — moving you into a felt sense of inner oneness, in a way similar in depth to Kaleo's Divine Feminine chant, though offered here in its own distinct form.

Because its power lives in that frequency, not in nightfall, it can be received at any time — day or night.

Chanting isn't about singing well or performing. It's about letting your own voice become a living frequency, resonating through your body, moving you out of your head and into a felt sense of stillness and wholeness. Many women have never experienced chanting this way before — this ceremony is also a gentle doorway into the deep healing power of your own voice.

We'll learn it together, slowly, then chant it as one voice. There is no need to get the words perfect — only to let the sound move through you.

This Ceremony Is For You If  You Are…

  • A woman in midlife or beyond, standing at a threshold of change

  • Feeling the weight of uncertainty, transition, or something ready to be released

  • Longing for more sacredness, stillness, and sound in your life

  • Drawn to the moon, to ceremony, to chant, to remembering your Mana Iho

  • Looking for a gentle place to pause and remember you are not alone

No prior experience with ceremony, chant, or Hawaiian teachings is needed.
