The Dance of the Heart - An Introductory Workshop

Hula is the living history of the Hawaiian people — kept alive for generations through movement, chant and storytelling. At its deepest level it is a direct transmission of Aloha. Through its gentle flowing movements you step out of your mind and experience Aloha as a living presence within your body.  It brings a natural sense of calm, peace, and alignment that no amount of thinking can create. This is Aloha felt from the inside.​

In this introductory class with Kumu Kaleo Wheeler — who has carried and taught this tradition for over 40 years — you will:

​

  • Learn a simple traditional hula celebrating the beauty of nature and the living spirit in all things

  • Experience the sacred Hawaiian words as a living language of Aloha flowing through your body

  • Leave with the Hawaiian words, English translation, and music for home practice

  • Have the option to purchase a practice video for continued support at home
