In ancient indigenous traditions — including the Hawaiian lineage I walk with — women in this season of life were deeply honored.

They were the keepers of cultural memory, the healers, the teachers, the soul-holders.

But in our modern Western world, that wisdom has been dismissed.

Kaleo’s Personal Journey to Her Wise Woman

I wasn’t a wife for many years. I wasn’t a mother.
But I still shapeshifted for most of my life — becoming who I thought others needed me to be to belong, to be accepted, to survive.

I lived as a lone wolf, always on my own — without family or community, trying to find my “pack” by molding myself into what others seemed to want.

But no matter how hard I tried, I never quite fit in.
Because I wasn’t being me.

And when I reached my 50s, still working to support myself and trying to make something stick…
instead of things getting easier, I found myself suddenly becoming invisible, more uncertain, and more exhausted than ever before.

The question hit me:

“If all of this shapeshifting hasn’t worked… what now?”
“How do I survive — and live — when I don’t even know who I truly am?”

That question broke something open in me.

It led me back into the truth I’d long carried:
the spiritual teachings of the ancient world,
the power of sacred sisterhood circle,
and my own lived understanding of the human condition — especially as a woman in this modern western culture.

And it led me home to my Wise Woman — the part of me that had been there all along, quietly gathering wisdom, waiting for me to rise.

Now, I walk beside other women over 50 as they find their way home —
not to the woman they were told to be…
but to the Wise Woman they were always meant to become.
