Non-Denominational, Non-Religious
& Hawaiian Themed Wedding and
Vow Renewal Ceremonies and Celebrations

Kaleo Wheeler is a wedding officiant based in Upstate South Carolina. She is an ordained minister who tailor makes and presides over wedding ceremonies throughout South Carolina, from Greenville to Spartanburg to Columbia. Upon request, she also travels to other parts of South Carolina and sometimes out of state to officiate couple's ceremonies. With over 20 years of experience, Kaleo enthusiastically strives to provide each couple with professional, knowledgable and friendly service, as she works directly with them to create unique, personalized wedding ceremonies. She realizes that weddings are all about sharing couples' joy and are occasions of immense importance. This is why she is committed and dedicated to fulfilling her clients’ ceremony desires, whether traditional or more contemporary, setting the mood for the entire day.
Many couples would also love to have their wedding in paradise – in Hawaii, but are not able to have it there. Kaleo can also create a special Hawaiian wedding ceremony for each couple in whatever location their wedding will be held. It can be as easy and simple as having an Exchange of a Lei between the couple and with and between the immediate family members. This can be added to any wedding ceremony, traditional or nondenominational. Giving someone a Lei symbolizes the love, affection, and respect you have for the person you are giving the Lei to. Having a Lei exchange is a beautiful way to express your eternal love Hawaiian style on your special day. And it is customary to give a kiss on the cheek when adorning someone with a lei. Kaleo can also officiate a full Hawaiian Wedding Ceremony with Hawaiian Songs, Chants, Prayers and Ritual if that speaks to the couple's hearts.
As a Hula Instructor, Kaleo can help this day be even more special by teaching the bride a beautiful hula that celebrates their love. She can dance and share it with her groom during the wedding reception, creating a unique and intimate moment between the two of them. And no dance experience is necessary for this.
Whether you are having your wedding on a beach, on a boat, at a lakeside, in a garden, in a backyard, in a home, or in a church; it is easy to incorporate touches of Hawaii to make your ceremony and special day even more special...
Kaleo makes the planning process fun and enjoyable, while shaping ceremonies that reflect the personality of each couple. She is easy-going, warmhearted, enthusiastic, detail oriented and enjoys working with couples very much. Kaleo fully supports marriage equality.
