I placed an order for the infamous, 3-wich Fall candles from Bath and Body Works and they arrived last week; I've been burning them every chance I get, but I'm beginning to feel a little guilty because Phil is getting the short end of the stick. When he comes home from work and the house smells like a sweet mixture of pumpkin, cinnamon and apple cider, the look of excitement on his face at the thought of freshly baked pies quickly dissipates when he sees the glow of these hoard-worthy candles. Woops.
I posted a photo of this on my IG feed, sheepishly admitting that I am one of "those people" who experience season identity crisis, fantasizing about Fall while we're still in Summer (or cranking up the Christmas Station on Pandora once October 1st rolls around). It's comforting to know I'm in good company and not alone in my wanting to jump-start the new season. Sadly, we have no "Fall" to speak of out here, but I'll bask in the sounds, scents and flavors of the season, even if they are manufactured. The Pumpkin Spice Latte is back (I've already had one...you?) and seemingly overnight, store displays now include fake, fall foliage and pumpkin paraphernalia. Our craft store is already taking it one step ahead and have already begun setting up their Christmas decorations...and I am freakishly excited about this.
Fall. I'm ready!
