This is going to be a quickie because I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to multi-task. The Hubs is on his way home from work and I'm gonna need to scare up something quickstyle in the kitchen because I didn't do a lick of food preparation all day (I'm thinking it's a breakfast-for-dinner kind of night...or no, wait - maybe we'll just go out instead). Right now, I'm sitting in my studio feeling sloth-like, sipping on a glass of Chardonnay, listening to Etta James on Pandora and working on a commissioned painting. I have a lot to do, but I'm feeling unmotivated because all I want to be doing is laying out at the beach. Blue skies and sunny, 80-degree weather is in the forecast, so I'm thinking it's gonna be another beachy weekend.
Happy Aloha Friday to you! What's on tap for YOU this weekend?

Aloha Angie. I made Haupia this week and I thought of you. The lady living in the dream locale, so jealous. It's a winter wonderland here, major snowstorm happening. I'd rather be where you are. Lol! Hope you have a great week.
ReplyDeleteWhile you're nearly naked soakin' up the hawaiian sun and putting your toes in the sand, I will be FULLY clothed in a bunch of new snowboarding gear my cousin hooked me up with and we're headed up to Mt. Baker!! [http://www.mtbaker.us/1011/] We're going snowshoeing and then a snowboarding contest! so.flippin'.EXCITED!

Aloha! I am your newest follower and am completely jealous of you living in Hawaii. As well as my sister, nieces & brother in law (they all live in Oahu). I look forward to reading your blogs!
ReplyDeleteWell, I won't be sitting on an 80 degree stretch of beach this weekend, that's for certain (darn it). Woke up to more snow (because the 2 feet plus more we got last week wasn't enough), so there's only one thing for it. Taking my baby girl to see Big Miracle and then going out to Ted's for dinner with my husband tonight. If it's early enough, we will stop in at GiGi's Cupcakes and get dessert. Gettin' up bright and early (I wish it was bright, it's just early) for 3 hours of church on Sunday then having the big Sunday Family Dinner. That's it in a nutshell. TMI?
ReplyDeleteOh man, I know exactly how you feel Angie. It's been so hard to motivate myself to do "business" stuff. I just want to sit in the park and read! Luckily, I have a photo shoot this afternoon and that usually provides plenty of inspiration and motivation!
ReplyDeleteI felt the same way a couple days ago. I hate that feeling. LOL
ReplyDeleteIf you did breakfast for dinner...that's a good call. I love when my dinners are breakfasts...wait, did that make sense? LOL Well, I hope you know what I mean.
As for my Asparagus Fries, here is the recipe: http://spoonforkbacon.com/2012/02/baked-asparagus-fries/
I'm going to write a blog post on my blog eventually. I'm starting a fitness diary blog, so I don't know if I want to save this recipe for that blog or if I should just put it up on jenkakio.com.
Anyways, let me know how your fries turned out. Tag me on instagram, if you want.
mmm love chard. and 80degree hawaii is wonderful xo
ReplyDeleteI have those unmotivated days, too. I usually inform honey bunny that he's either gonna starve or take me out! As soon as I saw your post title, I heard the Seinfeld Theme! 80s and Sunny sound perfect! It's cold - even here in Florida! I'm ready for some warm weather....I don't like the cold!
ReplyDeleteWe had a super low key weekend! In fact it snowed, which fueled our home body selves to stay home.
