Admittedly, I've been in a funk the last few days, and because I knew I wouldn't have anything positive or encouraging to share, I gave myself a reprieve from blogging and took the weekend off. And you know something? It helped. I may not be able to control my circumstances, but trimming the "excess" off my To-Do List and instead, submerging myself in Life's Joys has a way of bringing me back to my center. More on that, to come.
It's hard not to be happy when you've got parents who send surprise care packages filled with goodies to remind you that you are loved (thank you, Momma and Bill) - seriously, their timing is impeccable; a box of California Love arrived on Thursday afternoon, shortly after I had my first of a string of meltdowns! Beyond that, it's hard not to be happy when they also send emails with videos of animal-cuteness, enough to make you want to drop everything and run (not walk) to the nearest Humane Society to adopt more four-legged friends. My parents know EXACTLY what will cheer me up.
Today is a new day; a better day. And this week is gonna be a GOOD week. Blues, be gone!
